As we wrap up an incredible 2024, we at LARRY’S LIST are thrilled to reflect on a year brimming with meaningful collaborations, exceptional events, and new initiatives in the global art world.
Spotlight on Art Collectors and Private Museums
This year, we conducted in-depth interviews with 10 art collectors and private museum founders from Warsaw to Jakarta. Their stories provided invaluable insights into their passion for art, their collections, and the roles they play in shaping the art ecosystem.
Art Education and Tours
Our art tours and educational events took participants on an extraordinary journey across the globe:
Korea in May and September: A curated exploration of the dynamic Korean art scene, combining visits to contemporary galleries and cultural landmarks including a private visit at the Park Seo-Bo Foundation in Seoul.
Venice in June: An art-filled experience during the Venice Biennale, showcasing the city’s unparalleled creative heritage and peaking on the last day with a dinner at the Guggenheim Museum.
Paris in October: An exclusive tour of Paris during Art Basel, featuring prominent exhibitions, such as one at the Fondation Cartier, as well as collector meet-ups.
In collaboration with Sotheby’s Institute of Art, we also launched a new initiative to expand art market education in Asia in early 2024, furthering our commitment to art knowledge and accessibility. One of the highlights was the “Collecting Art Today” course in Hong Kong coinciding with Art Basel Hong Kong in March.
The Art Resort
November 2024 marked the debut of THE ART RESORT in Shanghai, an immersive experience blending art, luxury, and creativity. This one-of-a-kind retreat united artists, collectors, and enthusiasts in an inspiring, collaborative atmosphere.
The Greater China Art Collector Awards
We proudly presented the first-ever Greater China Art Collector Awards, recognizing and celebrating the most influential collectors from the region. The event underscored their dedication to fostering artistic talent and preserving cultural heritage.
Partnerships with Art Fairs
Our partnerships this year included collaborations with Art Collaboration Kyoto, SPARK Vienna, Art Jakarta, and Art Basel Paris. These alliances enabled us to connect with new audiences and strengthen our presence in diverse art markets across Europe and Asia.
We also extend heartfelt gratitude to our long-term partners—Phillips Auction, The Durant Guild, Joopiter Auction, and Durjoy Bangladesh Foundation—for their unwavering support.
Social Media
Dozens of newly curated posts showcasing amazing artworks in incredible interiors and art collector homes from around the world have been published on our Instagram, which gathers a vibrant community of over 180k followers. Art collectors, blue-chip galleries, top museums and private foundations, art enthusiasts, as well as art and design lovers from all corners of the world continue to be our engaged audience.
