On 29 March 2018, the second edition of the Private Museum Conference will take place in Hong Kong, inviting private museum founders, private collectors, art industry experts and art media to discuss and give insights into the topic around private foundations and privately founded contemporary art museums.

We are excited and honored to engage some of the leading museum founders, private collectors and art innovators from all over the world.
Speakers include:

J. Tomilson Hill (New York City)
J. Tomilson Hill is the President of the Hill Art Foundation. The Hill Art Foundation, opening in NYC in September 2018, will hold its first public exhibition during Art Basel Hong Kong, at the ground floor of H Queen’s building, showing major paintings and works on paper by acclaimed artist, Christopher Wool

Qiao Zhibing (Shanghai)
Shanghai-based collector and founder of Qiao Space, Qiao Zhibing is converting five disused oil tanks into a 60,000 sq m art park of exhibition spaces, gardens, shops and restaurants, due to open in 2018 at Shanghai’s West Bund Art District.

Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo (Turin)
After celebrating the 20th year anniversary of her foundation in Turin, Sandretto Re Rebaudengo has set up a second foundation in Madrid, Fundaciòn Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, with a venue due to open in 2019. In March 2018, just prior to the conference, selected works of her collection will be on show at the Rockbund Art Museum in Shanghai.
