Japan’s premier contemporary art fair, Art Collaboration Kyoto (ACK), returns for its fourth edition from November 1 to 3, 2024, at the iconic Kyoto International Conference Center. This year, ACK promises to illuminate diverse perspectives and creative expressions from the global art scene, showcasing over 69 galleries, including 33 first-time participants from around the world. LARRY’S LIST will be joining as a media partner for this exciting edition, furthering ACK’s mission of making art more accessible for global exhibitors.

Since its inaugural edition in 2021, Art Collaboration Kyoto has presented a new model of art fair, rooted in the spirit of collaboration, as well as Kyoto’s welcoming ethos and rich history of art and culture. Its Gallery Collaborations section pairs a local Japanese gallery with its international peer in a shared booth to co-present a unique and thoughtful exhibition, while Kyoto Meetings features artists with distinct connections to Kyoto. Driven by a commitment to enriching and developing the art ecosystem in Kyoto and beyond, the fair also hosts additional programs, including the fair’s Public Program, ACK Talks, and ACK Kids’ Programs.

Throughout ACK, special exhibitions will be taking place at unique historical venues in Kyoto City, including projects by leading contemporary artists such as Lucas Arruda, Andreas Erikkson, and Izumi Kato + Bosco Sodi. Local galleries will present exhibitions and late-night programming, creating a city-wide celebration of the arts.

Yukako Yamashita, ACK’s Program Director, shared, “Through this year’s theme ‘Resilience—for your own happiness’, ACK Curates will present artworks and discourse celebrating the preservation and evolution of cultural traditions, expression, and shared values. In our current age of great complexity and rapid growth of information sharing, ACK proposes new ideas for finding happiness and value for ourselves amidst an uncertain future.”

The Public Program will feature works by Naiza Khan, Maria Nepomuceno, Anri Sala, Tomás Saraceno, Wong Ping, and many more.

Join ACK 2024 for an extraordinary celebration of global art and cultural connection.
