There has been a great surge of online art market startups providing a vast array of services from online auctions, artwork sales, artist information through interviews as well as art market news. Paddle8, Artsy, Auctionata are among the many Western art market startups providing such services who are still growing strong.

1. Artshare, Hong Kong
Artshare.com, launched in April 2013, is a premier online platform dedicated to Chinese contemporary art, focusing on selling unique works of art through curated exhibitions, and providing exclusive educational content to its audience through written and video interviews. Each online exhibition presents about 15 artworks, across mediums, selected by an influential curator and available for sale.

Art Loft is an online art sales and rental site focusing on emerging contemporary artists from South East Asia selling works for under USD10,000. Co-founded by Michelle Chan, Alexandra Eu and Tian Qiuyan, the works are sourced primarily from the artists and galleries from Singapore, Myanmar, Japan and the Philippines.
